Historical note: Thomas More College was founded as Villa Madonna College for women in 1921 by the Benedictine Sisters in the Covington (Ky.) Diocese. In 1929, the Sisters of Notre Dame and Sisters of Divine Providence joined in staffing the school. The college became co-educational in 1945.
